در 15 خرداد 1338 در يک خانواده پر جمعيت در اصفهان متولد شدم. پدرم پزشک بود. پزشکي که در کنار بالا بردن دانش و مهارتش در پزشکي مدرن، به پژوهش و مطالعه روي طب سنتي و گياهان داروئي علاقمند بود و کارهاي زيادي در اين رابطه انجام داد. ردپاي عشق و جستجوگري او نسبت به طبيعت و سرنوشت انسان، در کارهاي هنري من به نوعي، بر جاي مانده است.
از کودکي به نقاشي علاقمند بودم. زياد نقاشي مي کردم و هميشه در حال آموختن بودم. اما سال هاي جواني من در روزهاي ملتهب و بحراني قبل و بعد از انقلاب سپري شد. سالهايي که ميان من و هنر يک فاصله 10 ساله انداخت.
از سال 65 به قصد آموختن نقاشي راهي تهران شدم. 5 سال در کلاس هاس آزاد مباني عملي و نظري نقاشي را آموختم و از آن زمان تاکنون موفق به برگزاري 11 نمايشگاه انفرادي و شرکت در 30 نمايشگاه گروهي در شهرها و کشورهاي مختلف شده ام. در اين مدت تصوير گري کرده ام (11 کتاب منتشر شده) عضو و مدرس انجمن هنرمندان نقاش اصفهان هستم. با گروه هنري گدار فعاليت هاي مشترک هنري انجام مي دهم و حدود 17 سالي است که با تاسيس آموزشگاهي مختص کودکان و نوجوانان (کارگاه باران) به طور مستمر به آموزش هنر به اين گروه اشتغال دارم که حاصل آن 6 نمايشگاه از کارهاي اين هنرجويان مي باشد.
در کنار اين ها مشغول تحقيق و مطالعه روي چگونگي آموزش هنر به کودکان هستم و مدتي است که کار تدوين تجارب خود در رابطه با کار هنري با کودکان را شروع کرده ام.

I was born on June 5, 1959into a large family in Isfahan .  My father was a physician who was interested not only in advancing his knowledge and skills in modern medicine but also in studying traditional medicine and medicinal plants, and he dedicated a large portion of his work to the latter.  Traces of his love and curiosity towards nature and the fate of man can be found in my art.
I was interested in painting since I was a child.  I painted a lot and was always learning.  But my youth coincided with the throbbing and crisis-ridden years leading to and following the Revolution, which resulted in a decade-long gap between me and art.  In 1986, I left for Tehran to learn painting professionally.  I took classes on the theory and practice of painting for five (5) years, and since then have held eleven (11) solo exhibitions and participated in thirty (30) group exhibitions in various cities and countries.  During this time, I have also done book illustrations, eleven (11) of which have been published.  I have been a member and instructor at the Isfahan Association of Painters and have done many joint projects with the Godar Group.  About seventeen (17) years ago, I established an art workshop called Baran [Rain] particularly for children and young adults and since then have held six (6) exhibitions of my students’ works.
Along with these activities, I have been engaged in research and study regarding how to teach art to children and in training children’s art instructors.
